School Meals

NEW ANNOUCEMENT: All school meals up to and including Year 4 are now free. We have a separate canteen at Herbert Thompson and the cooks work really hard to make healthy school dinners. For those that need to pay a school dinner costs £2.60 per day. You can pay weekly for dinners by cash or cheque, made payable to CCC or Cardiff County Council.

 

Free school meals are available to families in all years and are free for all pupils up to and in Year 4. Application forms are available from the school or from Pupil Services Department at County Hall, Atlantic wharf Cardiff Telephone 029207872000. Help completing forms can be provided if needed.

 

We are a healthy school and ask for all lunchboxes to be healthy. All children are supervised at lunchtime by Mid-day Supervisors and Learning Support Assistants. We have a number of First Aiders on duty and a member of teaching staff to ensure that children have opportunities to play games and engage in physical activity each day. We also have a ‘Chill Zone’ group at lunchtimes where children can go to make new friends and engage in a range of activities including arts and craft activities.
